Hi, here is the next version of the MP-41, plus I remade the MP-40 and added MP-38. So it's 3 models to choose from. I will very probably make the final version with high-resolution skin.

DESCRIPTION:
This little modification brings you the German sub-machine gun MP-38, MP-40 or MP-41. It replaces the stock MP-40 both in SP and MP. It goes with new skin (DX9 compatible), new sounds (fire, foley, reload, shelleject), new icons (HUD pickup icons, MP menu icons, fire mode icons).

HISTORY:
The first german (and the world's) sub-machine gun was the MP-18 familliary called "Schmeisser" to the honor of its constructer. However after the lost First World War Germany couldn't produce and use sub-machine guns due to the Versailles treaty. So the German factories bought some production abroad and put the development here. Because of that a lot of modern designs were available in the 30s. Finally when Hitler get into power and Germany officially refused the Versailles restrictions a new sub-machine gun was quite ready. The development lead into the MP-38 - the first weapon that used true massproduction methods. The reduce of cost finished into the MP-40 model. Both weapons were also called "Schmeisser" but the constructer of the old MP-18 had nothing to do with these new guns. But he didn't stay out of them, he reworked the MP-40 in the way of more precission and MP-41 was born.
All WW2 "Schmeissers" had a very high credit as fast, lightweight, handy and reliable guns. They were used also a long time after the war...

NOTES:

If applying for MP use I RECOMMEND UNPURE SERVER.

1) The script compatibility maximized. Almost all stuff uses its uniques files to reduce error probability (the only exceptions to the rule are necessary weaponfiles and mp menu icon).
2) Note that this modification is COMPATIBLE WITH my "Modified P-38" (all versions),"Scoped SVT-40" (all versions), "New BARs" (all versions), "MP-41" (all versions), "Carbine M2" (all versions), "HDM Silenced" (all versions), "FG42s" (all versions), PanzerFaust 60 (all versions).
   Note that this modification is COMPATIBLE EITHER WITH my "Portable MG-42" or "Scoped MP44" or "StG-44 Vampyr, Scoped & Unscoped". Do not apply them at the same time - it can cause errors - they replace the same weapon.
   Other modifications have not been tested.

The worldmodels and viewmodels were completely corrected. They are as historically accurate as I could do. Viewmodels are using parts from CoD: Waw, all the rest is reworked/remade CoD2 stuff.

As I used a part of work of another modeller (supergun11 - woodstock of his model) I use it under his/her readme statements:

  This mod replaces the German mp40 for a new model, the mp41, and replaces the British grenade to a French Modele 1937 grenade. There are minor errors with the mp40 but I don't think they are to noticeable. The modele 1937 has one major error, the grenade is rotated wrong.   Installation:
  Extract mp_mp41_modele1937.iwd to C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main or wherever your Call of Duty main folder is located. Start up a new unpure server and enjoy.

Installation:
-------------
A) Drag and drop installation
Put *.iwd file(s) into your "Call Of Duty 2\Main" folder.

B) Mod folder installation

  1)SP installation
    -Create a new folder in "Call of Duty 2" folder and name it for example "german_mp".

    -Extract the *.iwd mod file(s) into the new folder "german_mp".

    -Enter the "Call Of Duty 2\Main" folder and copy the "Players" folder.

    -Paste the "Players" folder into the new folder "german_mp".

    -Create a new start-up shortcut to your Call o Duty 2 single player on your desktop or whereever from you start the game.

    -Rightclick the shortcut and go to "Properties".

    -In the "Target" section you will see: "...\Call of Duty 2\CoD2SP_s.exe".

    -Behind "CoD2SP_s.exe" you must paste this (including the spaces):

 +set fs_game german_mp

    -Run the game through this new shortcut.

    -WARNING TO SP USAGE: If you would continue an autosaved game from before you have not installed this modification it will not work. You have to start a new game or mission.

  2)MP installation
    -It is the same but the shortcut will be for multi player game.
    -So instead of "CoD2SP_s.exe" there will be "CoD2MP_s.exe" in the target.

You will have 2 shortcuts set up for modification: one for MP one for SP.

Uninstallation:
---------------
A) Drag and drop uninstallation
Delete *.iwd file(s) from your "Call Of Duty 2\Main" folder.

B) Mod folder uninstallation
Remove the folder and shortcuts.
