i think its not possible without that black stripes at the side.
cuz, the texture is 1024x1024, ur reso of screen is bigger. and when u zoom with sniper, the texture is over ur complete screen, but its still 1:1 not 16:9 or whatever. So thats the reason why u have the black stripes, like in vegas, if uve record in 1280x960 but want to render in 16:9. i Hope u know what i mean
And u cant save texture in 1280x720 cuz u need a allways a multiple of 2.

I didnt watched the clip, but i guess, there was a scope overlay without that black stripes. u can make it in sony vegas with greenscreen, but skin like that is not possible
