Install Menu Background
Hi, I've had a lot of spam 'How do i install cod4 background?' so i decided to make this tutorial for you guys... Just follow the points and you'll get it working.
1. Go to your CoD4 mods directory mine is 'C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\Mods\' and create a folder called: startup_mod.
2. Copy any .IWD file to your startup_mod.
3. Open .iwd using winrar and put your .iwi file into someiwd.iwd/images/yourskin.iwi
4. Go to your desktop Right click -> New -> Shortcut and point it to your iw3mp.exe.
5. Make sure it looks like this: E:\Games\CoD4\iw3mp.exe +set fs_game "Mods\startup_mod"
6. Click the shortcut you've just created.
7. Have fun !
n00b questions:
OMFGGGG LOLOLOL Where can I find IWD file ?!?!
- Just go to your main folder or promodlive204 folder.

0 rename only this:
iw_00.iwd -> localized_english_aa.iwd
iw_01.iwd -> localized_english_aab.iwd
iw_02.iwd -> localized_english_aac.iwd
iw_03.iwd -> localized_english_aad.iwd
iw_04.iwd -> localized_english_aae.iwd
and make your skins to (localized_english_aw07.iwd) its work

0 doesn't work for me it says something like "file xxxxx cant be found"(and this file xxxxx is in iw_00.iwd) HELP!

0 btw, this method doesn't work at pure (the ones with filesize check) servers. if you attempt to join such server - you get kicked for a "filesize mismatch".

0 All those things didn't work for me also.
But what DID work, is put the .iwd files of skins into the Main folder. That worked for me.

0 Ok, I got the solution.
Download a skin, which is a .iwd file.
I recommend a skin called "iw_scorpion_gloves_venom_2" as file.
Put that file into your main folder, and put all skins you want in that file also.
That worked for me.
